Development

We entered the hotel business by chance as inexperienced beginners. Hanny as a nurse and Bernhard or “Giocco” as he is called, as a social worker. Changes in our careers surprisingly lead us into the hotel business. We have been able to fulfil some of our ideas and visions, some had to be left aside.

In the year 1987 the Hotel Glocke (meaning bell) was opened in the style of the former bell foundry, in Reckingen. The layout of the hotel was given due to ecological building methods used and our lifestyle beliefs: a holiday hotel with natural and healthy traditions. We serve vegetarian and also non-vegetarian meals with many organic products. We grind and process the grain used to make many types of bread ourselves. In the hotel lounge you are able to play games, chat, and meet other guests in a relaxed atmosphere. Your holiday in the Hotel Glocke offers you the possibility of new experiences: whether by yourself, with a partner, your family or during the weeks when we offer workshops on different topics.
